The indoor and outdoor track & field programs at Alfred State are competing year after year for Regional Championships and continuing to place high in NJCAA National competition.
In 2012, the men's outdoor team was 2nd at the Region III Championships and 3rd overall at the National Championships. This followed an indoor season in which the team was 3rd at Regional.
On the women's side the Lady Pioneers were 3rd at Indoor Regionals and 4th at Outdoor Regionals. At Nationals, the team placed 4th in the outdoor competition and 37th at Indoors.
Numerous records were broken by both the men's and women's teams.
In total, the track and field program produced 12 All-Americans and 13 All-Region athletes.
