Head Coach Gary Moore has built the Alfred State cross country program into a NJCAA National Champion contender year after year.
The men's program has won 11 Region III Championships and has finished as the NJCAA National Runner-up in 2010, 2009, 2001, 1998, 1996, and 1984.
The women's program won the NJCAA Division III National Championship in 2003 and 2011 and was the National Runner-up in 2001. The program has also won five Region III Championships.
In 2011, the Alfred State women won the Region III title and the NJCAA Division III National Championship. Two Lady Pioneers raced to All-American honors while four Pioneers earned All-Region.
