International Transfer Students

Transferring from within the United States

International students who are studying in the U.S., and would like to transfer to Alfred State, should use the international student application forms [1] and follow the same procedures as initial attendance students. After the student is accepted, the student should fill out the top portion of the school transfer form [2], sign, and give the form to the current school's international adviser to process the school transfer.

Transferring from outside the United States

International students who are studying in the U.S., and would like to transfer to Alfred State, should use the international student application forms [1] and follow the same procedures as initial attendance students. Students who have completed university/post-secondary-level coursework and would like to have their courses evaluated for possible transfer credit, must submit the following to Alfred State:

  • course descriptions for courses to be evaluated
  • and a course-by-course credential evaluation from an approved member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) [3]
