Freshman Equipment List

On the first day of class you will be required to have the supplies listed below for lecture and lab. For your convenience, we will have some of these items available for purchase on campus or you may purchase them at a location of your choice. It is recommended that the students have these tools insured under the parents' or the student's homeowner's insurance. Laptops are recommended but not required.

Supplies available at the Campus Store

  • 2 ea of three-ring notebooks (no spiral notebooks or rip out sheets)
  • Scientific calculator (TI-30Xa recommended)
  • Miscellaneous mechanical pencils, pens, and erasers

It is required that you have the necessary tools upon arrival at class as you will be starting lab project work on the first day of class. Lack of proper tools could mean suspension from all lab activity until items are available. All tools and equipment should be marked with your name.

Safety Rules: (State Law)

  1. Required regular safety glasses with proper side shields, or safety goggles over eye glasses, or side shield for prescription glasses with safety lenses for all operations in the laboratory.
  2. Sneakers and/or tennis shoes are NOT allowed at the construction site or lab because of greater danger of foot injury. A heavy soled work boot is required.

Senior Equipment List

In addition to the tools that were required freshman year, the following items are required when you begin your senior year.

  • ½” and ¾” bending shoe for EMT with common handle – Ideal or Greenlee preferred
  • #14 solid THHN 500’ rolls each (1 black, 1 blue, 1 red, 1 white, 1 green)
