SUNY Scholarships
- World Trade Center Memorial Scholarship - A scholarship for victims of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 in New York City, the Pentagon and Pennsylvania and the on-going rescue and recovery efforts. Scholarship covers the cost of tuition (and the college fee at State-operated campuses), room and board, mandatory fees, books, supplies and transportation for four academic years of full-time undergraduate study or for five academic years of a program of undergraduate study as defined by the Commissioner of Education.

Other Scholarships
Made possible by the generosity of the Educational Foundation of Alfred, the Alumni Association, and Alfred State College Faculty and Staff.
- Academic Distinction Scholarship - $500 awarded to academically talented students; students must maintain required GPA to receive second-year funding.
- Accentuate Alfed State Regional Scholarship - Awarded to academically talented incoming freshmen who reside in school districts defined as the residences of Alfred State College faculty and staff.
- Agricultural Scholarship Fund - Awarded to student enrolling in an agriculture or horticulture program.
- ALSTOM Power Inc., Air Preheater Company Scholarship - $300 awarded to students enrolling in the machine tool, welding, and robotic and computerized control technician programs.
- Alumni Scholarship - $500 a year awarded to child or grand- child of Alfred State College alumnus; multiple scholarships available; student must have at least an 85 high school average (through end of junior year); a letter must be sent to Admissions Office indicating student's name as well as the alumnus' name at graduation, the year graduated from Alfred State, and the students relationship to the alumnus. Recipients must work at annual Alumni Phonathon while at Alfred State.
- Distinguished Scholars Program: - Students must live on campus and be U.S. citizens or permanent residents to receive the three Distinguished Scholars Program scholarships. These scholarships are guaranteed to qualified students who are accepted by March 1. Additional awards may be made after this date depending on funding availability. - Association of Diesel Specialists/Ortner Scholarship - Up to $500 awarded to students enrolling in heavy equipment, truck and diesel technician; applications available from Student Services Office [1-800-4-ALFRED or (607) 587-3111] at School of Applied Technology Campus at Wellsville.
- Athletic Talent Grants - These grants are awarded to outstanding athletes on a very competitive basis. Selection is made by the Athletics Department.

- Evelyn C. and Rumsey C. Billings Scholarship - Awarded to students from Steuben and Otsego counties.
- Anthony C. Cappadonia Scholarship Fund - Awarded to an incoming student with a musical background who was a member of his/her high school choir and who plans to participate in the ASC choir; must have an 80 or better high school average through the end of his/her junior year; letter of interest should be sent to the Admissions Office.
- Computer Center Scholarship - Awarded to student enrolling in computer science.
- Cross Connection Control Foundations of the Niagara Frontier, Inc., Scholarship - Awarded to student enrolling in the air conditioning and heating technology program.
- Culinary Arts Scholarship - $500 awarded to incoming students enrolling in culinary arts or culinary arts -baking, production & management program; multiple scholarships available; students must have an 80 or better high school average through the end of their junior year and be in the top 50 percent of their class; letter of interest giving details on commitment to the culinary arts/baking field should be sent to the Culinary Arts Department.
- Ernestine Donnelly Scholarship - Awarded to an academically talented student from Cayuga County.
- Max & Marian Farash Foundation Scholarship - Awarded to students enrolling in the air conditioning and heating technology program.
- Finger Lakes Regional District 4H Dairy Tour Scholarship - $250 awarded to the 4H winner of the Finger Lakes Regional District 4H Dairy Tour Contest who is enrolling in an agriculture program at Alfred State; selection made by Admission office.
- Friendship Designated Scholarship - $500 awarded to graduates of Friendship Central School accepted into a regular program at Alfred State.
- Genesee Valley Balloon Association Scholarship - Awarded to student from Western New York State enrolling in an agriculture program.
- Vernon Gleasman SAE Scholarship - One $500 scholarship awarded to academically outstanding incoming or returning engineering technology student; preference will be given to student enrolling in mechanical engineering technology or mechanical design engineering technology; contact Admissions Office for application; completed application deadline is March 15.
- Michael K. Gowdy Memorial Scholarship - Awarded to academically talented students from Wellsville High School.
- W.R. Grace Scholarship - Awarded to a student accepted into the biological science program.
- Graham Nursing Scholarship - Awarded to incoming nursing students; preference given to students from LeRoy Central or Warsaw Central School districts, then to students from Wyoming County, then to students from the rest of New York State.
- Meta C. Huntington Memorial Scholarship - Awarded to an incoming freshman who has an interest in music. Selection made by Admissions Office.
- International Exellence Scholarship - Awards free room (double occupancy) and board (meal plan) to international students who meet two of the following three criteria: 550 TOEFL exam score, 3.25 college GPA, (90 overall high school average), and/or 1200 combined SAT.
- International Merit Scholarship - Awards free room (double occupancy) to international students who meet two of the following three criteria: 525 TOEFL exam score, 3.0 college GPA (an 88 overall high school average), and/or 1100 combined SAT.
- Eugene Jacobs Memorial Foundation Scholarship - $1,000 awarded to student enrolling in a baccalaureate degree program; student must have at least an 85 overall high school average through the junior year or a 3.0 cummitive grade point average to be considered.
- Management Employees Scholarship - Awarded to an academically talented incoming freshman.
- Lawrence "Bud" McCarthy Education al Foundation Scholarship - $1,000 to incoming student with demonstrated skills in a related technology area; students must have at least an 80 high school average through the end of their junior year to be considered.
- 1939 Alumnus Scholarship - Awarded to academically talented incoming freshmen.
- Rabbit Scholarship - $200 awarded to the winner of the "Best of Show" at the Alfred State College Annual Rabbit Show who is enrolling in an agriculture program at Alfred State; selection made by Admission office.
- Floyd and Eleanor Rose Scholarship - Awarded to academically talented students from Western New York State and Northern Pennsylvania enrolling in either the agriculture - animal science or building trades - building construction programs. Students must have an 85 or better high school average through their junior year to be considered.
- Russo Family Scholarship - Awarded to an academically talented incoming student.
- Adele L. Schieder Memorial Scholarship - Awarded to academically talented incoming freshmen.
- Shaw Family Scholarship - Awarded to incoming freshmen enrolling in an agriculture or horticulture program.
- Ernest & Fern Snyder Memorial Scholarship - Awarded to student entering agriculture program; student must be from Western New York State (west of Route 81).
- Richard D. Stillman Memorial Scholarship - Awarded to an incoming student who was a member of his/her high school band or choir and has agreed to participate in the Alfred State band or choir; must have an 80 or better high school average through the end of junior year; letter of interest should be sent to the Admissions Office.
- Albert Styrcula Scholarship - Awarded to academically talented students from Dundee High School or from Yates County; scholarship award to be used toward the purchase of books.
- Robert A. Sweeney Scholarship - Awarded to student from Steuben County enrolling in a business program.
- Top Hat Scholarship - $700 awarded to incoming students enrolling in culinary arts or culinary arts - baking, production & management program; students must have an 80 percent or better high school average through the end of their junior year and be in the top 50 percent of their class; letter of interest giving details on commitment to the culinary arts/baking field should be sent to the Culinary Arts Department as well as a letter of recommendation from a teacher, employer, and a peer.
- UPS Scholarship - Awarded to students enrolling in the heavy equipment, truck and diesel technician or automotive service technician program with priority given to female and minority students.
- Vocational Excellence Scholarship - $1,000 per year for two years to students entering a program taught at the School of Applied Technology at Wellsville; multiple scholarships available on a selective basis; to be considered, students must have at least an 83 high school average through the end of their junior year and demonstrate vocational excellence through a combination of education, employment, competition, military experience, and other verifiable activities. Students should submit a letter to the Admissions Office indicating how they have excelled in the vocational area as well as two letters of recommendation from qualified individuals verifying skill level (although not limited to these activities, students who have placed high at VICA competition or at the Rochester Automobile Dealers' Association annual car show would be considered strong scholarship candidates); students must maintain at least a 2.5 GPA to continue funding.
- Bea L. Williams Scholarship - Awarded to students attending school in Western Steuben County; applications available in high school guidance offices in early spring; academics as well as school and community activities will be considered in the evaluation process.
