Ronald Rosati

Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs

Dr. Ronald RosatiDr. Ronald Rosati, an educator with a strong background in shared governance, faculty development, and academic innovation, began his career at Alfred State College in June 2006. While the search for a permanent president took place, Rosati served as Officer in Charge of the campus (June 2007 - March 2008).

As provost and vice president of academic affairs, Rosati is responsible for a 250-member professional staff, including 150 academic faculty members. Rosati also oversees the college's three schools - Arts and Sciences, Management and Engineering Technology and Applied Technology - as well as a $10 million annual budget. Rosati, who as a vice president sits on the president's cabinet, plays an important leadership role as Alfred State expands its baccalaureate offerings and continues its support of the Center for Organic and Sustainable Agriculture (COSA).

Earning his BS and MAT in agricultural education at Cornell University, an AAS in agronomy from Farmingdale Agricultural and Technical College, and a PhD in agricultural education from Iowa State University, Rosati served as dean of the College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Human Sciences at Texas A&M University-Kingsville since 2001. He simultaneously served as the assistant vice chancellor of the agriculture program for the entire Texas A&M University System. Rosati's tenure at Texas A&M was marked by significant accomplishments in facilities and faculty development.
