For Taylor Battaglia, the hands-on learning he received at Alfred State was invaluable once he entered the workforce.
“I think Alfred State really gave me the experience of what it would be like to be working, partially because it wasn’t just sit down, have someone talk at you for an hour,” Taylor said. “It’s one thing to look at it in a textbook, but it’s another thing to actually hold it in your hand. It’s a totally different experience.”
Taylor is now an application engineer at SmartEdge, a full-service installation and service contractor that offers building automation systems, integrated security systems, process control systems, energy conservation systems, and electrical and mechanical system service.
