Alfred State College three-sport athlete Kaila Smith (Alfred Almond) has scored one goal and has one assist on the women's soccer team thus far. The Lady Pioneers are 3-4-1 on the year.
Smith was a member of the basketball team and the softball team and this season she has suited up in all eight of ASC's contests.

Five members of the Alfred State College NYS College/Post-secondary Skills USA delegation placed in the top 10 at the National SkillsUSA Championship in Kansas City, MO, in late summer. Cristian Cruz, East Amherst, who took first place in the state then continued on to Nationals, was awarded a bronze medal for third place in the nation in masonry.
