Alfred State College Professors Jim Grillo, Hammondsport, and Robert E. Rees, Alfred, both members of the School of Management and Engineering Technology, were among 28 SUNY-wide faculty members recognized by the State University of New York as Distinguished Teaching Professor and Distinguished Service Professor, respectively. The designation constitutes a promotion above that of full professor.

The School of Applied Technology at Alfred State College is pleased to announce the first recipient of the automotive parts technology scholarship provided by UNI-SELECT, the leading network of independently owned auto parts dealer in Canada and a rapidly growing parts provider in the United States.
Alfred State College athletic director Kathy Feldman has appointed Anne Holmok as the college's women's soccer coach for the 2007 season. Holmok begins her second stint as the Lady Pioneers head coach on August 13th.

pulled out all the stops during this year's Great Wellsville Balloon Rally
parade. As part of the College's
centennial celebration, a patriotic red-white-and-blue-themed float carried
members of the ASC Centennial Committee and others as they distributed in
excess of 70 pounds of candy as well as other give-a-ways, including A
Mary Lou Doyle, of Ithaca and Alfred, has been named director of
Human Resources and Payroll at Alfred State College. She began her duties during the spring
semester.
Alfred State College
welcomed hundreds of students to campus this month for their initial
indoctrination to college life through its annual orientation program.
