Alfred State College - Track and Field News
Beginning Wednesday, May 4, athletes representing 25 NJCAA institutions will travel to Alfred State College to participate in the 2011 Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The event will feature nearly 250 participants vying for both individual and team honors.
The Alfred State College outdoor track & field team continues to be near the top of the latest NJCAA Division III poll. The women climbed up one spot to #2 while the men continue to hold on to the #3 ranking.
Three more Alfred State College track and field athletes qualified for the NJCAA Division III National Championships with strong performances at the Hamilton College Continental Invitational.
The Alfred State College men's and women's track & field team is ranked #3 in the first NJCAA Division III national poll of the 2011 season.
The Alfred State College outdoor track & field team opened up their season at the Battleground Relays hosted by Mary Washington University (Fredericksburg, VA).
David Miller (Elmira Southside) and Tara Murphy (Rochester/Wilson) placed for Alfred State College at the 2011 NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships at Texas Tech University.
Ten members of the Alfred State College indoor track & field team have traveled to Lubbock, TX and Texas Tech University for the 2011 NJCAA National Championships. Competition begins on Friday and runs all day Saturday.
The women's 4 x 400 relay team and Brandon Lewis (Red Creek) qualified for next week's NJCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championships with strong performances at the Collegiate Challenge at the NYC Armory.
Both the Alfred State College men's and women's indoor track & field teams finished 2nd at the Region III Championships. The Region III Championships were held in conjunction with the RIT Orange and Brown Invitational.
