Gross and Reynolds to Compete at Penn Relays

David Gross (Brockport) and Dan Reynolds (Wayland Cohocton) will represent Alfred State College at this week's prestigious Penn Relays in Philadelphia, PA.  The duo will compete in the annual event that has taken place since 1895.

Track & Field Fares Well at Brockport

The Alfred State College track and field team had numerous athletes qualify for the Region III Championship and the NJCAA Division III Championship at the SUNY Brockport Invitational on Saturday.
Curran and Gross Lead Tracksters

Alex Curran (Williamson) and David Gross (Brockport) led the Alfred State College track and field team in competition on Saturday at Roberts Wesleyan.  The Pioneers got back in action after over two weeks off after poor weather cancelled events at U of R and Houghton College.
Men Ranked 5th, Women 8th in latest Track Poll

Both the Alfred State College men's and women's track and field teams continue to sit in the top ten of the latest NJCAA Division III poll.  The men are currently ranked 5th while the women are 8th.
Track Meet Cancelled

This weekend's scheduled track and field meet at the University of Rochester has been cancelled.  Alfred State was scheduled to compete on Saturday but the meet was moved to Sunday and cancelled this morning.

ASC Men Sit on Top of Outdoor Track Poll, Women 3rd

The Alfred State College men's outdoor track and field team is ranked #1 in the first NJCAA Division III poll of the 2009 season.  The women are currently ranked #3.
Pioneers Win Track Quad

Both the men's and women's Alfred State College track and field teams finished on top of the ASC Quad Meet held Friday afternoon.  The men scored 186.5 points while the women scored 138 points.
ASC to host Track Quad Friday

Alfred State College will host a track and field quad meet on Friday featuring Alfred University, Finger Lakes CC, Erie CC, and ASC.  Action is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m.
Tracksters Open Outdoor Season

The Alfred State College outdoor track and field team opened up the outdoor portion of their season with strong performances at the Howard (MD) CC Invitational.  Five Pioneers qualified for the NJCAA Division III Nationals to be held at Alfred State in May with solid efforts.
Reynolds Named All-American

Dan ReynoldsAlfred State College sophomore Dan Reynolds earned 1st team All-American status by winning the pole vault title at the NJCAA National Championship at Texas Tech University.  Reynolds becomes just the second Pioneer during Coach Gary Moore's tenure to win an indoor title (Damien Rodriquez - 1997 in the pole vault).
