Alfred State College women's basketball player Camille Romero (Queens Village/Mary Louis) has been selected to play in the 2011 NJCAA women's basketball coaches' assocation All-Star event at Pensacola State College.

Romero will spend a day practicing with her team (July 8th) and will play the following two days (July 9th & 10th) versus some of the top talent in the NJCAA.

Romero recently completed her freshman year at Alfred State.  Romero really came on during the 2011 portion of the season.  She led the Lady Pioneers with a 17.5 point per game average in the teams 12 conference games.  For the whole season she averaged 11.6 points per game, 4.0 rebounds, and passed out 53 assists.  She was also credited with 45 steals.  Romero started in 13 games, all 12 conference games, and appeared in 23.

Following the season she was named 1st team All-Region and 1st team All-WNYAC.
