The Alfred State College women’s soccer team registered their third straight victory, 4-1 over Mercyhurst North East, on Saturday afternoon as the college celebrated Homecoming 2010.  The blue & gold are now 3-1 on the year.

Jenna Lynn (York) netted two goals as the Alfred State College women's soccer team shutout Jamestown CC 2-0 on Thursday.  The Lady Pioneers are now 2-1 on the season.

Alfred State College will induct four new members into the athletic department Hall of Fame this Friday evening.  Jody Alvarez (women’s soccer), Kirt Zimniewicz (baseball), Alison Brotherton (softball), and Gaffel Hippolyte (track & field) will be inducted at 6 p.m. in the Orvis Activities Center auditorium.

The Alfred State College women's soccer team defeated Jefferson CC 4-2 in their 2010 home opener.  The Lady Pioneers are now 1-1 on the young season.

The Alfred State women's soccer team couldn't overcome a two-goal first half deficit and fell 3-2 to Tompkins Cortland CC in their 2010 opener.  TC3 improves to 3-1-1 on the young season with the victory.

The Alfred State College athletic department presented their annual end-of-year athletic awards during a ceremony held at the Lake Lodge on May 3rd.  The athlete of the year, sportsmanship, leadership, academic, and William Havens awards were presented.

A trio of Alfred State College women's soccer players have been named All-Region following the Lady Pioneers 10-2-4 season.  Shelby Winchester (Maple Grove) was named first team while Audrey Rath (Medina) and Mo Parks (Avoca) were named second team.

Six members of the Alfred State College women's soccer team have been named All-WNYAC following the Lady Pioneers 10-2-4 season.  Jessie Smith (Fredonia), Shelby Winchester (Maple Grove), Audrey Rath (Medina), and Mo Parks (Avoca) were named to the first team while Jackie Matteson (Greece Arcadia) and Therese Hubbel (Bishop Kearney) were second team selections.

In a back and forth soccer match at Pioneer Stadium, Genesee CC advanced to the Region III Division III Pool A finals with a 7-6 penalty kick victory over Alfred State College.  ASC and GCC both scored twice in the first half but neither team could find the back of the net in the second half or either of the two 10-minute overtime periods.
