Jessie Smith (Fredonia) scored two goals as the Alfred State College women's soccer team downed Erie CC 2-0 in a weather shortened game on Thursday afternoon in Orchard Park. With the win the Lady Pioneers, ranked #9 in NJCAA Division III, improve to 8-2-1 (7-2-1 Region III Division III) on the season.

The Alfred State College women's soccer team has cracked into the NJCAA Division III poll for the first time of the season and the first time in Coach Anne Holmok's tenure at the helm of the program. The Lady Pioneers debut in the poll at the #9 spot after a solid three week stretch that has seen the team go unbeaten in their last six matches.
