Track team opener delayed

The Alfred State College outdoor track & field team was scheduled to compete at the Howard CC Invitational on Saturday but cold forecasted weather has forced the team to stay home.

Omoregie breaks school record in Pentathlon

Alfred State College sophomore Andy Omoregie (Gates Chili) set a new school record in the pentathlon at the NJCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championships at Eastern Illinois University.
Four Pioneers heading to Indoor Nationals

Andy Omoregie (Gates Chili), Cedric Crowder (Gates Chili), Broncho Rollins (Ithaca), and Keith Dziak (Buffalo/Bishop Timon) will represent Alfred State College at the 2008 NJCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championship this weekend at Eastern Illinois University.
Six Tracksters Earn All-Region

Six members of the Alfred State College indoor track and field team have earned All-Region honors by winning events at the Region III Championships.  Andy Omoregie (Gates Chili), Rob Riley (Rochester/Edison), Zak Williamson (Rocky Point), Broncho Rollins (Ithaca), and Tyrell Davis (Mt. Vernon) helped the men's team to the Regional Championship while Najia McGee (Rochester/Edison) helped the Lady Pioneers to a 4th place finish.
Dziak qualifies for Nationals

Alfred State College sophomore Keith Dziak (Buffalo/Bishop Timon) qualified for the NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championship with a solid run at the Marc Denault Invitational at Cornell University.
Omoregie Named Athlete of the Week

Alfred State College sophomore Andy Omoregie (Gates Chili) has been named the Region III male athlete of the week.  Omoregie helped lead the Pioneers to their 2nd straight Region III Indoor Track & Field Championship on Sunday afternoon.
Men win Regional Indoor Title, Women finish 4th

The Alfred State College men's indoor track and field team repeated as Region III Indoor Track and Field Champions while the women's team finished 4th.  The championship is the 9th since 1988 and 5th since 2000.
Pioneers keep Regional Championship Lead

The Alfred State College indoor track & field team competed in the Region III Championship for the weight throw and the 200 m dash and in the Cornell Open on Saturday in Ithaca.  After three events of the Region III Championship the men and the women are in 1st place.
A-State in 1st place after first events of Regionals

Both the men's and women's indoor track and field team have at least a share of 1st place after the first two events of the Region III Championships.
Pioneers run well at RIT

For the second time in three weeks the Alfred State College track and field team had a strong showing at RIT.  On Friday evening, the Pioneers had several impressive performances as they competed versus mainly NCAA Division III competition.
