Alfred State and Bryant & Stratton battled back and forth for nearly 98 minutes before the Bobcats were able to score in the first overtime to earn a hard fought 1-0 victory. The loss snaps the Pioneers (5-2, 5-1 Region III Division III) four-game winning streak while Bryant & Stratton, a NJCAA Division I program, improve to 4-1 on the season.

Alfred State scored twice in the first three minutes as they took control of the contest en route to a 5-0 victory over Jefferson CC. The Pioneers, ranked #13 in Division III of the NJCAA, have now won four straight and improve to 5-1 on the season while the Cannoneers fall to 0-4.

The #13 ranked Alfred State College men's soccer team won their 3rd straight contest on Thursday afternoon by defeating #12 Finger Lakes CC 3-2. With the win the Pioneers improve to 4-1 while the Lakers suffer their first defeat and fall to 4-1.

After a quick 3-1 start the men's soccer team has earned the #13 ranking in the first NJCAA Division III poll of the regular season. The Pioneers have outscored opponents 14 to 9 on the season and 11 to 5 in their last two victories.

Alfred State College soccer player Kyle Binder (Hornell) has been named the Region III Male Athlete of the Week after helping the Pioneers to two victories this past week. ASC defeated Genesee CC 6-5 on Thursday at home and then downed Broome CC 5-0 on Saturday.

The Alfred State College men's soccer team defeated Genesee CC 6-5 in a back-and-forth WNYAC contest on the new athletic complex on campus. The game was the first soccer game played on the field. With the victory Alfred improves to 2-1 on the season.

The Alfred State College men's soccer team could not get out of an early hole and fell 3-1 to Hudson Valley CC in day two of the East-West Showdown at Jamestown CC. The Pioneers are now 1-1 on the young season.

Jason Durst (Gates Chili) scored the game-winner as the Alfred State College men's soccer team downed SUNY Delhi 2-1 in their season opener. Durst's scored on a header after a corner kick by Justin Handley (Iroquois) during the first overtime session.
