Football Game Pushed Back a Hour

Saturday's Alfred State College football game at Lackawanna College has been pushed back a hour and now is scheduled for a 2 p.m.  The Pioneers (4-2) and Falcons (5-2) will play at Valley View Stadium in Peckville, PA.

King Named Region III & NFC Player of the Week

Alfred State College sophomore football player Damion King Jr. (Detroit, MI/Madison Heights) has been named Region III male athlete of the week and the Northeast Football Conference defensive player of the week.

Defense Leads Pioneers Past Vikings

The Alfred State College defense came up with big plays as the Pioneers held on to defeat Hudson Valley CC 13-12.  The win improves ASC to 4-2 on the season and 1-2 in NFC play.

The Alfred State College football team struggled on offense and fell 31-7 to ASA Institute on Friday night.  ASA, ranked #20 in the lastest NJCAA poll, improves to 4-1 (3-0 NFC) on the season while the Pioneers are 3-2 (0-2 NFC).

Blue & Gold Roll Past Buff State JV

The Alfred State College football team gained 373 yards of offense and forced three turnovers en route to a 38-14 victory over Buffalo State JV in the rain on Monday afternoon.  The win improves the Pioneers to 3-1 on the season.

Pioneers Fall in OT Thriller

Mike Lawandus connected on a 41-yard field goal in the first overtime as Erie CC defeated Alfred State 20-17 in a wild Homecoming contest.  The win improves the Kats to 1-2 (1-0 NFC) while the Pioneers fall to 2-1 (0-1 NFC).

Pioneers Roll Past Hartwick JV

Cody Scepaniak (Vestal) and Josh Griffin (Englewood, NJ) connected on four touchdown passes and Sir Aaron Taylor (West Chester/Lincoln Hall) scored twice as the Alfred State football team rolled past Hartwick JV 56-23.  ASC is 2-0 for the first time since 2006 with the victory.

Taylor Adds National Honor

Sir Aaron TaylorSir Aaron Taylor (West Chester/Lincoln Hall) has earned the NJCAA Special Teams Player of the Week award following his performance in Alfred State's 22-7 victory over the Apprentice School.  Taylor had previously been named the NFC special teams player of the week.

Alfred State College sophomore safety Sir Aaron Taylor (Westchester/Lincoln Hall) has been named the Northeast Football Conference special teams player of the week.  Taylor was key to the Pioneers 22-7 victory over the Apprentice School.
