Coach Gary Moore with autographed running shoesGary Moore has been named the NJCAA Division III men's cross country coach of the year following Alfred State's 2nd place finish at the National Championships.  Moore was chosen for the award by his fellow coaches.

Four members of the Alfred State College cross country team ran to NJCAA Division III honors with top 15 finishes at the National Championships last weekend at Finger Lakes CC.  John Sweeney (Barker) earned first team, Brandon Lewis (Red Creek) and Carey Crooker (Addison) earned second team, and Joe Seitz (Williamsville North) was third team.

The Alfred State College men's cross country team finished as NJCAA Division III National Runner-Ups at the National Championship at Finger Lakes CC on Saturday.  ASC scored 70 points and trailed just SUNY Delhi's 22.

The Alfred State College women's cross country team entered the NJCAA Division III National Championships ranked #5 in the national poll and raced to a 5th place finish.  The Lady Pioneers scored a 141.

The Alfred State College men's cross country team moved up one spot to #2 in the last NJCAA Division III poll prior to the National Championships while the women's team remained steady at the #5 spot.

John Sweeney (Barker), Brandon Lewis (Red Creek), and Abby Benton (Frewsburg) all raced to All-Region honors this weeked at the Region III Championships.  ASC Head Coach Gary Moore was also named the men's Region III Coach of the Year.

The Alfred State College men's cross country team finished second out of seven teams at the Region III Championships held at SUNY Delhi on Saturday.  The women's team was incomplete after the flu-bug ravished the team.

For the third straight week, the Alfred State College cross country teams remain steady in the NJCAA Division III poll.  The men's team remains ranked #3 while the women are ranked #5.

The Alfred State College cross country teams competed at the annual University of Rochester Invitational on Saturday afternnon at Genesee Valley Park.  The women's team finished 7th out of 9 teams that scored while the men finished 8th out of 15 scoring teams.
