Two Alfred State College faculty members were selected to participate in the annual reading and scoring of the College Board's AP (Advanced Placement) Examinations in Louisville, KY, in June in calculus and biology.

Alfred State College's WINS Club (Women in Non-traditional Studies, though the club is open to all students) recently raised and donated money to two local food pantries.
Alfred State receives $20,000 from BP America to Assist College's Alternative Energy Courses.
Fourteen members of the Alfred State College outdoor track and field team have earned All-Region honors based on their winning performances at last weekend's Region III Championships.

Six members of Alfred State College's staff were honored with the SUNY (State University of New York) Chancellor's Award for Excellence this spring.

Several Alfred State College faculty and staff members were honored recently as recipients of the Pioneer Award which recognizes those members of the organization who demonstrate the following characteristics: commitment to the mission and goals of the college, meaningful and measurable positive impact on the college, role modeling, and a high level of performance.
Recent promotions at Alfred State College were announced at the annual recognition luncheon at the end of the spring semester.
