Saturday's Region III Division III baseball doubleheader between Alfred State and Broome CC has been cancelled.
For the sixth time since returning up north the Alfred State College baseball team split a Region III Division III doubleheader. Onondaga CC scored four in the 7th for a 7-3 win in the opener while ASC won the nightcap 4-2.
Alfred State College freshman baseball Garrett Hoag (Dansville) has been named the Region III co-male athlete of the week. Hoag is the second Pioneer baseball player to earn the award this spring.
Thursday's Alfred State College's baseball doubleheader versus Onondaga CC will be played at Bolivar Richburg High School. First pitch is slated for 11 a.m.
The Alfred State College baseball doubleheader scheduled for Tuesday (4/26) versus Onondaga CC has been moved to Wednesday, May 4th due to the wet weather that has caused havoc to area teams.

The blue & gold fall to 10-12 (6-9 RIII DIII) on the season while NCCC, ranked #3 in NJCAA Division III improve to 19-2 (11-0 RIII DIII).
Niagara CCC scored three runs in the bottom of the 5th inning to regain their lead en route to a 7-5 victory over Alfred State on Tuesday. The second game of the doubleheader was suspended in the second inning with ASC leading 2-1.
In rain, snow, sleet, and peeks of sunshine, Alfred State and Finger Lakes CC split a Region III Division III doubleheader. The Lakers used big innings to earn a 12-2 victory in game one while the Pioneers used a 5-run 3rd inning in game two en route to a 7-2 victory.
Alfred State and Erie CC split a Region III Division III doubleheader at Bolivar Richburg High School on Thursday. ECC won the opener 4-1 while ASC won the nightcap 5-4.
