The Western New York Athletic Conference announced its 2008 All-Conference baseball teams and six Alfred State players have been honored.

The Alfred State College baseball team dropped a 13-inning 3-2 decision to Monroe CC in the WNYAC semifinal on Saturday afternoon. The Pioneers finish the fall season with a 6-9 mark.

The Alfred State College baseball team advanced to the Western New York Athletic Conference semifinals with a 7-3 victory over #3 Genesee CC in a 1st round match-up. The Pioneers improve to 6-8 (5-7 WNYAC) during the fall season and will play the winner of the #2 Monroe CC/#7 Jamestown CC 1st round game on Saturday.

The Alfred State College baseball team will take on #3 Genesee CC in the opening round of the WNYAC fall tournament. The Pioneers finished the fall regular season with a 5-8 (4-7 WNYAC) mark and are coming off a 2-1 weekend that included a 7-4 victory over the Cougars on Sunday.

The Alfred State College baseball team won two out of three WNYAC games this weekend as they closed out the regular schedule of the fall season. ASC split with Jamestown CC, winning 9-8 before falling 5-3. on Saturday and then downed Genesee CC 7-4 in a rain shortened game.

Alfred State and Niagara CCC split a WNYAC doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon. The Pioneers won the opener 6-1 and lost the nightcap 9-3. ASC is now 3-5 (2-4 WNYAC).

Saturday afternoon's Alfred State baseball doubleheader versus Niagara CCC has been cancelled due to persistent rain. The two teams will try to get the game in on Tuesday (9/16) afternoon at 1 p.m.

Alfred State baseball lost both games of a double header with Erie CC 10-5 and 9-5 Sunday afternoon. The Pioneers were beaten by the big inning in both contests giving up 6 runs in the 6th inning of game 1 and 5 runs in the 1st inning of game 2.
