Alfred State baseball coach Jason Cronin and the rest of the coaching staff will host a Prospect Camp on Sunday, Jan. 27th at the Orvis Activities Center. The camp will allow high school players to showcase their skills in front of the Pioneer coaching staff. Each participant will receive an evaluation of their skills from the coaching staff.
Four members of the Alfred State baseball team have been honored by the Western New York Athletic Conference. Daiki Iizuka (Chiba, Japan) was named 2nd team while Stephen Solomon (Harrisburg, PA), Jordan Wheaton (Wayland Cohocton), and Brett Rapan (Bolivar Richburg).
The #7 seeded Alfred State baseball team gave #2 Mercyhurst North East all they could handle but the Saints escaped with a 7-6 ten-inning victory in a WNYAC 1st Round contest. MNE advances to the WNYAC Final Four and will take on the winner of the #3 Erie CC/#6 Jamestown CC contest.
The Alfred State baseball team will travel to Mercyhurst North East on Tuesday to take on the #2 seed Saints in the opening round of the WNYAC Tournament. MNE enters the tournament with a 5-3 record while the Pioneers are 0-10.
Saturday's Alfred State baseball doubleheader at Jamestown CC has been cancelled and will not be made up.
The Alfred State baseball team collected just three hits (singles) in a doubleheader loss to Niagara CCC. The Thunderwolves earned 12-0 and 8-0 victories.
The Alfred State baseball team was swept by Monroe CC on Saturday in a WNYAC doubleheader. The Tribunes won the opener 4-2 in 8-innings and earned a 15-0 win in game two.
The Alfred State baseball team was swept by Erie CC, 15-1 & 9-5, in a WNYAC doubleheader on Sunday. The Pioneers were playing for the first time in eleven days.
Today's WNYAC baseball doubleheader vs. Niagara CCC has been washed out. The two teams will make up the game next Sunday (9/16). A time for that make-up DH has yet to be determined.
The Alfred State baseball team fell in both halves of their WNYAC season opening doubleheader vs. Mercyhurst North East. The Saints earned 10-5 and 15-3 wins to improve to 4-0, 2-0 WNYAC on the season.
