Alfred State is pleased to present the 62nd Annual Alumni Choral Spring Concert, directed by Anthony Cappadonia, professor emeritus of music at Alfred State. The concert will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Anthony C. Cappadonia Auditorium, Orvis Activities Center, on the Alfred campus, and is free of charge and open to the public.
Alfred State recently celebrated two historic ribbon-cutting events during its annual Homecoming Weekend. Both ceremonies marked the completion of sizeable construction projects that are among the largest the college has seen since the 1960s.
The 1994 Alfred State softball team will be honored during the Hall of Fame ceremony during Homecoming/Family Weekend activities this weekend.

The Alfred State athletic department will induct five new members into the hall of fame during 2012 Homecoming/Family Weekend festivities. Longtime athletic director Kathy Feldman, basketball player Larry Mulcahy, softball player Jodie Corsi, cross country & track and field athlete David Dominguez, and pole vaulter Kurt Dunn will join the Hall of Fame on October 12th.

Former Alfred State and Temple University wide receiver Rod Streater achieved his dream and made his NFL debut as a starting wide receiver for the Oakland Raiders as they took on the San Diego Chargers on Monday Night Football.
The Alfred State athletic department will host a viewing party of Rod Streater's NFL debut with the Oakland Raiders. Doors will open in the Cappadonia Auditorium (in the Orvis Activities Center) at 10 p.m. for the 10:15 p.m. kickoff.
Alfred State Alum Rod Streater has made the Oakland Raiders 53-man opening day roster. Streater had an impressive preseason and is currently listed 3rd on the depth chart.

Former Alfred State football player Rod Streater hopes to hear his name announced from the podium of the 2012 NFL Draft at Radio City Music Hall this weekend. Streater, who wore the Pioneer blue & gold in 2008 and 2009 before transferring to Temple University, wrapped up his collegiate playing career in December with a touchdown catch in Temple’s win in the New Mexico Bowl
