The Alfred State College women's basketball team never could get any offense going and fell 72-50 to Jamestown CC in a WNYAC contest. The Lady Pioneers fall to 10-8 overall and 1-2 in conference play.

Alfred State College has announced that it has received an estate gift of approximately $121,000 from Dorothy and Lester Reynolds. The Reynolds designated that the gift be used to establish a prize to be awarded annually to the student demonstrating the greatest achievement in the field of mathematics.

Alfred State College’s fourth annual “Taste of Wellsville” was another success story as it raised $250 for the SPCA serving Allegany County and the concurrent culinary arts: baking, production and management community bake sale raised a record $2,800 for SkillsUSA, breast cancer research, and the Top Hat Club, the culinary honor society.
