Women ranked #3, Men #4 in Latest Track Poll

The Alfred State women's track & field team moved up one spot to the #3 position in the latest NJCAA Division III poll while the men's team slid down one spot to the #4 spot.

The Alfred State women's track & field team moved up one spot to the #3 position in the latest NJCAA Division III poll while the men's team slid down one spot to the #4 spot.

The Pioneers had four more athletes qualify for the 2012 National Championships, to be held at Alfred State - May 3-5, last weekend at the U of Rochester Alumni Invitational.  The Pioneers have been in the top ten of the national poll in each of the week's this spring.

Region III holds four of the top five spots in the latest poll on the women's side.  Mohawk Valley CC is #1 followed by SUNY Delhi, Alfred State, Gloucester, and Herkimer CCC.

Harper leads the men's poll followed by SUNY Delhi, Howard (MD) CC, Alfred State, and Kingsborough.

The Pioneers travel down 390 on Saturday to compete in the SUNY Geneseo Invitational.
