Witchella had a great freshman campaign in which she started in all 20 games she appeared in (missed seven games due to an injury in the 2011 portion of the season). She averaged 16.8 points per game and 11.4 rebounds for the 18-9 Lady Pioneers. She recorded eleven double-doubles on the year including a monster 34 points and 26 rebounds in a Lady Pioneer victory at Genesee CC. She scored more than 10 points in 18 of her 20 games and scored 20 or more in five games. She also chipped in 71 blocks, 35 steals, and 20 assists.

During Region III Division II play (all in 2012), Witchella led Alfred with a 16.5 ppg and 13 rpg. She shot a 45.3% from the field during Region games in which the Pioneers had a 7-4 record.

Earlier in the year, Witchella was named the Region III Division II Player of the Year, 1st team All-Region, and 1st team All-WNYAC.  She also was named the NJCAA DII player of the week.

She was joined on the All-American team by fellow RIII DII player Johnesha Warren who was named 3rd team.

The Lady Pioneers were 18-9 in 2011-12 and advanced to the Region III Division II Final Four.
