Alfred State College sophomore safety Sir Aaron Taylor (Westchester/Lincoln Hall) has been named the Northeast Football Conference special teams player of the week. Taylor was key to the Pioneers 22-7 victory over the Apprentice School.
Taylor scored the game-winning touchdown when he returned the opening kick-off of the 2nd half 86-yards to break a 7-7 tie. Taylor also added five solo tackles, an interception and three pass break-ups.
Taylor and the Pioneers travel to Hartwick College on Sunday for a 1 p.m. kick-off vs. the JV Hawks.
