The Alfred State College men's team dropped their fifth straight game 73-55 to Rockland CC in the consolation game of the 2010 ASC Tournament.  The Pioneers head into the Thanksgiving break with a 2-6 mark.

The Alfred State College men's team dropped their fifth straight game 73-55 to Rockland CC in the consolation game of the 2010 ASC Tournament.  The Pioneers head into the Thanksgiving break with a 2-6 mark.

Jacin Vera led Rockland with 25 points while Joel Kukulu finished with 18 points and seven boards.  Durrelle Lindsey chipped in 12 while Patrick Hanley grabbed a team high 10 boards.

Patrick Parker (Jamaica/Hillcrest) was the lone Pioneer in double figures finishing with 16 points and nine rebounds.  Ryan Caron (Prattsburgh) added eight points while Nick Tucker (Genesee Valley) and Yanni Gobezai (Bethesda, MD) each chipped in six.

ASC shot jost 27.4% fromt he field and 20% from three-point land while Rockland hit 43.3% of their shots and connected on 6 of 18 three-point attempts.

Alfred's Parker and Rockland's Vera were named to the all-tournament team.  In the final of the tournament, Fulton Montgomery CC defeated Jefferson CC 86-82.  Kenroy Morrissaint was named tournament MVP while teammate Andy Irizarry was named all-tournament along with Jefferson's James Blue and Jabriel Blue.

The Pioneers will look to get back on track on November 30th when they host Finger Lakes CC at 7:30 p.m.
