The Alfred State College football team racked up 600 yards of offense (392 yards rushing and 221 yards passing) as they downed the Niagara X-Men 63-20 in their final non-conference game of the season.  With the win the Pioneers improve to 4-4 overall on the season.

The Blue and Gold put together six scoring drives in the first half to jump out to a 42-8 halftime lead.  In the second half ASC added three more scoring drives while Niagara found the endzone twice.

The Pioneer rushing attack featured five players with more than 40 yards on the ground.  DeAndre Johnson (Detroit, MI) rushed for 99 yards on 10 carries, Korey Velasquez (Harry Truman) scored twice (9 and 17 yards) and gained 84 yards on six carries, Nolan Williams (Rush Henrietta) finished with 73 yards on 11 carries, Jordan Davis (Burlington, NJ) scored twice (7 and 8 yards) and finished with 56 yards on five carries, and Jeff Fabbri (West Warwick, RI) had 41 yards and a touchdown (1 yards) on five carries.

DeAndre Johnson also was 5 for 11 passing for 109 yards and a score while Dan Young (Cicero North Syracuse) was a perfect 3 for 3 for 99 yards and three scores.  Robbie Fagan (Coconut Creek, FL) led the receiving corp with 42 yards while Josh Griffin (Englewood, NJ) caught three passes for 35 yards and a score (18 yards), Nick Perez (Monroe Woodbury) caugh a 40-yard touchdown, and Nolan Williams caught a 20-yard scoring pass.

On the defensive side Ike Iloegbu (Ramapo) led the defense with nine tackles and an interception while Damion King (Detroit, MI) had eight tackles (five for a loss).  Malcolm Solomon (Wilson) finished with seven tackles while Brendan Walker (Bridgeport, CT), Nate Williams (Cincinnati, OH), and Brad Fuerst (Bath) each chipped in six.  Armani Ross (Passaic Valley) picked off a pass and recovered a fumble while Andy Eichas (Hilton) picked off a pass.

The Pioneers will take on Nassau CC in their season finale next Saturday.  Kickoff at the ASC athletic complex is scheduled for Noon.
