Alfred State sophomore basketball Pat Parker (Queens/Hillcrest) has been named 1st team All-Region following a successful campaign.

Parker, a honorable mention All-WNYAC selection in 2010-11, started in all 28 games for the blue & gold.  He scored 511 points (18.3/game) and grabbed 175 rebounds (6.3/game).  He also chipped in 93 assists and was credited with 48 steals.  Parker scored at least ten points in all but two games on the season.  He finished with 13 games of 20 or more points and two games with 31.

Parker had 31 points vs. CC of Beaver County in the team's final game of 2011 and then had 31 in a contest at Niagara CCC on Feb. 11th.  His biggest shot of the season came on Feb. 16th when he drilled a three-pointer at the buzzer to beat Monroe CC.

During Region III Division II play, Parker averaged 19.2 points and 6.4 rebounds.  he also had 50 assists and 20 steals.

Parker finishes his two-year career with 869 points, 338 rebounds, and 185 assists.

The 2011-12 Pioneers finished 7-21 (2-12 Region III Division II) on the season.
