Several new staff members have joined the Alfred State College community.

Several new staff members have joined the Alfred State College community.

Among the new hires is the director of Facilities Operations, Electrical Trades Department. He holds a bachelor of professional studies degree from Empire State College and an associate’s degree from Alfred State. The Whitesville Central School graduate is the son of Glenn E. and Josie Brubaker, Whitesville. He is married to the former Donna Morgan; they are the parents of two children.

Elizabeth Raterman has been named the director of Multicultural Affairs where she promotes multiculturalism, supports under-represented students and their organizations, and serves as the chair of the President’s Commission on Diversity and Inclusion. Prior to joining the ASC staff, Raterman served as coordinator of Multicultural Affairs and Community Service at Columbus (OH) College of Art and Design. She holds a master’s degree in higher education-student affairs and a bachelor’s degree in biology and philosophy, both from Ohio State University. The Beavercreek (OH) High School graduate is the daughter of Helena Duque-Pages and Lazaro Pages, of Beavercreek. She is married to Thomas Raterman.

Kelly Ludovici, Cicero, has been hired as the senior international admissions counselor for the college. In this role, Ludovici will lead recruitment efforts for international students. Prior to joining the ASC staff, Ludovici served as a graduate assistant in the Admissions Office of the University of Rochester. She holds a master’s degree in school and community counseling from the University of Rochester and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from SUNY Geneseo. The Syracuse native is the daughter of Ronni and George Ludovici.

Caroline Falcone, Alfred, has also been hired by the Admission Office as a counselor, responsible for recruiting students and reviewing applications. She holds an MS and a BA, both from Alfred University. The Half Hollow Hills High School West (Dix Hills) graduate is the daughter of Ann and John Falcone of Dix Hills.

The Technology Services Department new hires include Benjamin Cawley, Stephen Dudley, Frank Hammonds, Timothy Hauber, and Michael Smith. Each will be involved in programming and/or serving as service technicians for the campus.

Cawley, of Bolivar, holds an associate’s degree in web graphic design from DeVry University (Chicago). The Bolivar-Richburg Central School graduate is the son of Thomas Cawley and Kathleen Cawley, both of Bolivar. He is the father of Michaela Cawley, 7.

Dudley holds an MBA from Canisius College (Buffalo), a BS in general business from Regents College; and an AS in computer science from Jamestown Community College. Prior to joining the ASC staff, Dudley served as a programmer/analyst and help desk coordinator at Canisius College.

Hammonds, of Belmont, is a Scio Central School graduate; he attended Rochester Institute of Technology. He is the son of Frank and Linda Hammonds of Wellsville, and is married to the former Christina Rooney.

Hauber, of Campbell, holds an AAS in electronics from Corning Community College. Prior to joining the ASC staff, Hauber served as a computer technician at Arkport Central School. He is the father of Abigail and Elisha, both at home.

Smith, formerly of Granite Springs, holds a BTech in information technology: applications software development from Alfred State College.

Other hires included Jennifer Graves, Wellsville, who has been hired as a mail and supply clerk in the college’s Document Center.

New keyboard specialists include Kelly Harrison of Dansville and Jamie Woodall of Bath who joined the Student Records and Financial Services Office; and Michele Jacobs, of Livonia, who joined the Admissions Office.

The Division of Residential Life has announced its new residence hall directors, whose responsibilities include oversight of the day-to-day operation of their respective residence halls, offer guidance to students, and plan programming for hall residents.

Those hires include Dean Tzivanis of Endicott who holds an MS in student affairs administration and a BS in human development, both from Binghamton University; Troy Morehouse, Wattsburg, PA, who holds an MA in higher education administration from Lewis University; Shawn Isaacs of Alfred, who holds an MS from the University of New Haven and a BA from Alfred University; Kathleen Hobson, Akron, OH, who holds an MA in higher education administration from the University of Akron and a BA in art history from Penn State; Jodi Brown, who holds an EdM from the University at Buffalo; and Anwar Abubakr, of Victor, who holds a BS in electrical engineering from Alfred State College.

Hires in Facilities Services included Christian Brunetto, Black Creek, maintenance assistant; Gregory Cole, Caneadea, SUNY campus worker; Kevin Goodman, Cuba, plant utility assistant; Casey Jackson, Andover, cleaner; Justin Sharp, Hornell, cleaner; David Shultz, Hornell, plant utility assistant; and Michael Waters, Hornell, maintenance assistant.
