The Lady Hornets collected 10 hits and scored single runs in the 1st, 3rd, 6th, and 7th innings.  Julie Pornbeck was 3 for 3 with 2 RBI while Sara Slavetskas was 3 for 4.  Brittney Welch tossed a complete game two-hitter to earn the win.  She finished the contest with just one walk and 11 strikeouts.

Amanda Theleman (Whitney Point) allowed three earned runs in seven innings of work.  She walked and struck out four batters.  She also collected a triple but was stranded on base.  Hilary York (Canisteo Greenwood) collected a single for the Lady Pioneers other hit in the contest.

The scheduled second game of the doubleheader was cancelled after the field became unplayable after consistent rain in the first contest.

The Pioneers play their final road game of the season on Thursday when they travel down I-86 to Corning CC for a 3 p.m. doubleheader with the Red Barons.
