Hannah Daille found the back of the net just 1:47 into the game to give the Lady Lakers (14-1-1 overall and in Region III Division III) the early 1-0 lead.  The goal snapped a Lady Pioneer scoreless streak that stretch more than five games.

The blue & gold tied the game up late in the 1st half when Kali Muhleisen (Alfred Almond) found the back of the net with her 22nd goal of the season.  Hannah Holmok (Alfred Almond) was credited with the assist.

The game remained tied until Muhleisen scored her second of the game and 23rd of the season with 22:25 remaining.  Courtney Bonadonna (York) earned the assist.

Neither team found the back of the net the rest of the way.  Alfred held a 21 to 11 shot advantage in the contest.  Krista DeCarlo (Bayshore/West Islip) made six saves in net for Alfred State.

Head Coach Anne Holmok credited the defense led by Kelly Stieve (Brockport) with solid efforts and thought highly of the play of Bonadonna off the bench.

The Pioneers have three games remaining on their 2012 regular season schedule.  All three games are against non Region III Division III opponents.  They take on WNYAC DI foe Bryant & Stratton on Thursday in Syracuse at 2 p.m.
