Lady Pioneers Earn Tenth Win

Alfred State earned their tenth win of the season with a 4-1 home victory over Corning CC.  The Lady Pioneers, ranked #8 in the latest NJCAA DIII poll, are now 10-2 overall and 9-2 in Region III Division III play.

Alfred State earned their tenth win of the season with a 4-1 home victory over Corning CC.  The Lady Pioneers, ranked #8 in the latest NJCAA DIII poll, are now 10-2 overall and 9-2 in Region III Division III play.

Holli Pierce (Livonia) scored the lone goal of the first half after getting a pass from Lacee Pearl (Olean). 

Pierce netted her second of the game when she capitalized on a penalty kick.  Jenna Lynn (York) put the game out of reach with a goal after a nice pass from Taylor Dezio (Marion).

Nicole Sutryk netted a penalty kick goal with 2:53 remaining in the contest before Pierce completed the hat trick twenty seconds later after getting a long lead pass from Taylor Waite (Genesee Valley)

ASC held a 29 to 6 shot advantage in the contest.  Simon Delaney (Canisteo Greenwood) made four saves to earn the victory in net.

The Lady Pioneers return to action on Saturday when they travel to Herkimer CCC for a 1 p.m. contest with the Lady Generals.
