The Alfred State College women's soccer team scored four goals in each half as they opened up their 2011 campaign with a 8-0 victory over SUNY Delhi.  Five different Lady Pioneers scored and ten recorded points.

The Alfred State College women's soccer team scored four goals in each half as they opened up their 2011 campaign with a 8-0 victory over SUNY Delhi.  Five different Lady Pioneers scored and ten recorded points.

Jenna Lynn (York) and Amanda Graves (Prattsburgh) each netted a pair of goals while Tiffany Fox (Canisteo Greenwood) passed out three assists to pace the offense.  Lynn scored the first two goals of the game while Graves found the back of the net twice in the second on picture perfect plays.

Lacee Pearl (Olean) scored a goal and passed out an assist while Taylor Dezio (Marion) and Maura Tuffey (Albany/Academy of the Holy Names), and Kerry Bellavia (Greece Athena) all scored once.  Tara Scholla (Genesee Valley), Emily English (Livonia), and Kaya Sick (Wayland Cohocton) all passed out an assist.

ASC held a 26 to 2 shot advantage.  Simone Delaney (Canisteo Greenwood) made one save in the shutout.

The blue & gold host Tompkins Cortland CC on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. at Pioneer Stadium.
