Holly R. Hogan, Hornell, has been appointed by the NYS Governor’s Office to the Alfred State College Council; she succeeds Terri Ross, whose term expired over the summer.

Holly R. Hogan, Hornell, has been appointed by the NYS Governor’s Office to the Alfred State College Council; she succeeds Terri Ross, whose term expired over the summer.

Council members serve without salary as an advisory group to the president of the College.  Authority of the Council is in such areas as regulations governing student conduct, regulations concerning care and management of campus facilities, review of academic programs, approval of candidates for college degrees, and selection of the College president.

Hogan, the acting principal of Hornell Intermediate School, holds a master of science degree from Alfred University, a bachelor of science degree from Empire State College, and an associate in applied science degree from Alfred State College (1983). She has also earned a certificate of advanced study from SUNY (State University of New York) Brockport.

Hogan is a member of the Hornell Community Theatre and the Hornell Area Democratic Women.

The Alfred-Almond Central School graduate is the daughter of Alanson Horton of Victor.

She and her husband Shawn, mayor of Hornell, are the parents of four adult children: Brett White, Taryn Manuele, Ashleigh Striker, and Brie Hogan.
