artists, originally from Germany; Northfield, IL; Lower Merion, PA; Bala
Cynwyd, PA; Arkport; Charlotte, NC; Tennessee, Ohio, and other areas of the United
States, who have converged in the Southern Tier and call it home. Nine of the
12 have worked together, drawing and critiquing each other's work for many
years.  Many studied under Katherine Nelson in her Hartsville home,
gathering for art, support, and tea.

Pat Parry, Wanda Dean,
Glenna Elder, Nora Zinner, Betsy Shults, Sandra Berry, Carlyn Yanda, Hanna
Juekoff, Jackie Pancari, Hope Zaccagni, Amanda Oglesbee, and Barb Elsenheimer
are converging at Alfred State College's Hinkle Memorial Library Gallery to
exhibit their works through Friday, March 27.

The unseen energy and
support present in this show is representative of the dynamic undercurrent of
the quiet rural setting known as the Southern Tier.  It is a resource
strong and continuous.  This show is a celebration of life, friendship,
support, and the thread that sustains and unites us - art.

The exhibit will be
available during regular library hours: Mondays - Thursdays 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.;
Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturdays from 1 to 7 p.m.; and Sundays from 1
to 11 p.m.
