Jerri DrummondDr. Jerri Drummond, Alfred State College associate vice president for student affairs and director of multicultural affairs, recently facilitated a Diversity Awareness Training for 75 Head Start teachers and assistant teachers for the ACCORD Corporation at Our Lady of Angels Church in Cuba.

Drummond, who joined the ASC professional staff in 2008, holds a PhD in student affairs administration and research from the University of Iowa, an MA in guidance and counseling from Southeast Missouri State University, and a BS from Frostburg State University.

As associate vice president for student affairs, Drummond supervises the director of Counseling Services and the director of Health Services.  Drummond will also work closely with campus constituents in regard to multiculturalism, diversity, and inclusion.   As director of multicultural affairs, Drummond develops educational programs and workshops that build multicultural awareness among students. 

Prior to joining the ASC staff, Drummond served as program coordinator for diversity, University of Maryland, College Park; she held several positions at the University of Iowa, including manager of the Afro-American Cultural Center and academic coordinator.  She also served as assistant director of intercultural programs, Loras College.
