Depew and Harding Named All-WNYAC

Alfred State College sophomore softball players Angela Depew (Wellsville) and Amber Harding (Fillmore) have earned All-WNYAC honors.  Depew was a 1st team selection while Harding was named 2nd team.

Depew led the Lady Pioneers with a .610 slugging percentage.  She finished the year with a .360 batting average (36 for 100) and collected seven doubles, six triples, and two homers.  She scored a team high 25 runs and drove in 18.  She also was 11 for 13 in stolen base attempts.  In the outfield she committed just one error and was credited with four assists.  This is the second year in a row that Depew was named All-WNYAC.  Earlier this season she was named All-Region 2nd team.

Harding had a breakout offensive season.  She finished the year hitting .375 (36 for 96) with 13 doubles, four triples, and 17 RBI.  She also scored 18 runs and stole four bases in five attempts.  Harding was the mainstay at third base starting all 32 games at the hot corner.

The Lady Pioneers finished the 2011 campaign with a 10-22 overall mark.
