The Alfred State College men's cross country team moved up one spot to #2 in the last NJCAA Division III poll prior to the National Championships while the women's team remained steady at the #5 spot.

The Alfred State College men's cross country team moved up one spot to #2 in the last NJCAA Division III poll prior to the National Championships while the women's team remained steady at the #5 spot.

The Pioneer men have held on to the #3 ranking in the last four polls but moved up this week following a 2nd place finish at the Region III Championships on Saturday.  With the top five runners finishing in the top 19 of the race, ASC was able to down previous #2 ranked Mohawk Valley in the race. 

SUNY Delhi (600 points), the five-time defending national champion, is ranked #1 followed by ASC (540 points), Mohawk Valley (510 points), Howard (MD) CC (470 points), and Erie CC (370 points).

The Lady Pioneers remain ranked #5 in the poll for the fifth straight week.  Ocean CC (600 points) is ranked #1 followed by SUNY Delhi (560 points), Mohawk Valley CC (500 points), and Broome CC (430 poitnts).  ASC received 390 points in the poll.

The NJCAA Division III National Championships will be held on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. at Finger Lakes CC in Canandaigua, NY.
