The Blue and Gold will open up tournament play on Tuesday when they host #6 Mercyhurst North East. First pitch of the nine-inning contest is scheduled for 4 p.m.
The Pioneers swept a doubleheader from the Saints in the opening weekend of the fall. ASC won the opener 10-5 and then won the nightcap 6-5 in eight innings. Mercyhurst North East enters the tournament with a 3-9 WNYAC record.

The Alfred /Mercyhurst North East winner will advance to the Final Four in Batavia on Saturday and will meet the winner of the Jamestown CC/Genesee CC first round contest. First pitch of that game to be at Genesee CC will be at 11 a.m. The finals of the tournament will be played at 3 p.m. at Dwyer Field.
