Anderson & DrummPaul R. Hinman, director of Alumni Affairs and Annual Giving at Alfred State College, presents the Alumni Faculty Award to Roger Drumm, ASC class of 1983, associate professor, Building Trades Department, during the College's annual Honors Convocation.  Each year, students from the recent graduating class have an opportunity to nominate a faculty member who influenced them and played a critical role in helping them reach their educational goal.  The winning citation noted that Drumm "is a great professor and he works well with students.  He is helpful to everyone even if you are not his student.  The recipient gives every student the attention they deserve.  If the hour-long class had expired, this professor uses his own time to make certain the students ‘get it.' His door was always open.  He went beyond the expectations of a professor.  He is a well-rounded person and a pleasure to be around." The honoree receives a gift and a monetary award.  Drumm, who joined the ASC faculty in 1984, holds an associate's degree in occupational studies from Alfred State College.
