15 Tracksters Earn All-American Honors

Fifteen members of the Alfred State College outdoor track & field team earned All-American honors at the 2011 NJCAA Division III National Championships held at Pioneer Stadium.  All fifteen athletes earned 2nd team honors with 2nd place finishes in their respective events.

Fifteen members of the Alfred State College outdoor track & field team earned All-American honors at the 2011 NJCAA Division III National Championships held at Pioneer Stadium.  All fifteen athletes earned 2nd team honors with 2nd place finishes in their respective events.

Shea McKee (Canisteo Greenwood) led the way with All-American honors in three events.  She was 2nd in the high jump (1.45 m) and was part of the 4x100 (50.75) the 4x400 (4:06.91) relays.

Shatara Noble (Rochester/Marshall) and Pam Breedlove (Rochester/East) were part of both the 4x100 and 4x400 relays.  Tara Murphy (Rochester/Wilson) was part of the 4x400 and was 2nd in the 400 (58.23).  Megan Votava (Alfred Almond) was 2nd in the 100 hurdles (16.77) and Briana Dorsey (Rochester/School of the Arts) was part of the 4x100.

Brett Harrington (Rochester/Edison) and Rawle Crawford (Mt. Vernon) were two-time All-Americans.  Harrington was 2nd in the long jump (6.59 m) and was part of the 4x100 relay (42.50).  Crawford was part of the 4x100 and the 4x400 (3:22.58).

Ken Boyer (Albion) and Dre Johnson (Rochester/Edison) were parts of the 4x100 while Marcquis Johnson-Broughton (Rochester/Edison), Isiah Whiting (Hamden, CT), and Brandon Lewis (Red Creek) competed in the 4x400. 

In field events, Jordan Traina (Gates Chili) was 2nd in the pole vault (4.10 m) and Andy Jones (Milford) was 2nd in the hammer throw (47.65 m).

Prior to the NJCAA National Championships at the Region III Championships, fifteen athletes earned All-Region honors.  All-Region is earned by winning an event.
