Kickball Tournament to Benefit Hornell Concern for Youth, April 20

Alfred State human services management students John Albrecht and Curtis Combs, both of Hornell, are organizing an event called The Super Kickball Extravaganza which will benefit the Hornell Area Concern for Youth. Funds will be used to help update the organization’s facility on East Main Street in Hornell.

The tournament will take place on Saturday, April 20 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park (James Street Park). Participating teams represent local police and fire personnel, college students, and fraternal organizations.

In addition to the tournament, the event will have games, raffles, food, and music. Admission is free and open to the public.

Check presentation for Super Kickball ExtravaganzaFrom left, Alfred State lecturer and Grand Knight of the Hornell Knights of Columbus Michael Colomaio presents a $150 donation from the Knights of Columbus to the student organizers of the kickball tournament, John Albrecht and Curtis Combs. Both students are interning at the Hornell Area Concern for Youth, the organization benefiting from proceeds of this fundraising event. Colomaio is also a member of the Concern for Youth’s board of directors.
