Pioneers Downed by Genesee

The Alfred State men's basketball team fell 76-47 to Genesee CC as the Pioneers continued their five-game roadtrip.  The Pioneers are now 6-11 on the year and 0-5 in WNYAC play.

Adam Fezza (Southhampton) led the blue & gold with 13 points while Wade Franklin (Arkport) netted a career high 11.  Sean Nolan (Palmyra Macedon) finished with nine points while Ben Wutz (Elma/Iroquois) led the team with nine boards.

Donte Meredith led the Cougars balanced attack with 18 points.  GCC shot 42.9% from the field compared to the Pioneers 31% shooting.

Game three of the current five game road trip is slated for Thursday at Elmira College.  The Pioneers take on the JV Eagles at 7 p.m.
