Pioneers Fall in Final Seconds

The Alfred State men's basketball team held a 53-49 lead with 47 seconds left but St. John Fisher JV scored the final five points to steal a 54-53 win.  The Pioneers close out 2012 with a 4-6 record.

With the four-point lead and 47 seconds left, St. John Fisher hit a three-pointer, forced a turnover, and hit two foul shots to grab the lead.  Alfred had three shots in the finals seconds to win the game but were unable to get one to fall.

Jamar White (Laurel, MD) led the way with 12 points while Cristian Santana (Harlem Village Academy) scored all 11 of his points in the second half.

The blue & gold return to action on January 10th when they open up WNYAC action vs. Mercyhurst North East.
