Date stone ceremony commemorates start of construction on Student Leadership Center

New York State Senator Catharine Young (R-Olean) joined special guests of Alfred State recently to see a large granite stone engraved with the year '2011' placed at the entrance of the new Student Leadership Center (SLC) on the Alfred campus. The Center, which is slated to open next year, will be used as a hub of activity and will be dedicated to developing leadership and civic engagement initiatives on campus.
