Corning Squeezes Past Pioneers

Corning CC hit there foul shots down the stretch as they defeated Alfred State 63-51 on Tuesday evening.  The Pioneers are now 1-2 on the year while the Red Barons are 2-4.

Tommy Hutson (Brooklyn/Susan McKinney) was the only Pioneer in double-figures with 14 points.  Marquis Chatman (Allen, TX) added nine points and Antone Williams (Brooklyn/Acorn HS for Justice).

The Red Barons jumped out to a 16-6 lead early and had a 25-23 lead at half.  Alfred held a lead late in the game but Corning re-took the lead and hit their foul shots down the stretch to seal the victory

The Pioneers will look to get back on track on Thursday when they host St. John Fisher JV at the Orvis Activities Center at 7 p.m.
