Fifteen Straight for Lady Pioneers

Ten different Lady Pioneers recorded points as the Alfred State women's soccer team defeated Roberts Wesleyan JV 8-0 as the college celebrated Homecoming 2012.  The blue & gold now have won 15 straight games and are 15-1 on the year.

The #4 ranked Lady Pioneers were led by Kali Muhleisen (Alfred Almond).  She finished with three goals and an assist.  Keri Teufel (Sachem) had two goals and two assists while Ally Vargeson (Addison) had a goal and an assist.  Anna Rath (Medina) and Katie Jackson (Troy, PA) both score goals while Taylor Dezio (Marion), Steph Simard (Warsaw), Maura Tuffey (Albany/Holy Names), Courtney Bonadonna (York), and had assists Brittany McEwen (Caledonia Mumford).

The Lady Pioneers took control of the game with three goals in a span of a minute in a half just ten minutes into the game.  Alfred led 5-0 at halftime and finished the game with a 37 to 1 shot advantage.

Krista DeCarlo (West Islip) and Kayla Scharet (Warsaw) each spent a half in goal to record the teams 11th shutout of the year.

The blue & gold will close out the regular season on Wednesday when they host Penn College of Technology at 7 p.m.
