Both Cross Country Teams Sit in Top Ten

Both the Alfred State cross country teams are ranked in the second NJCAA DIII poll.  The women remained 5th for the second straight week while the men are ranked 8th.

The women's team won the Alfred State Invitational this past weekend with a perfect score of 15.  They received 60 points in this week's poll and trail Ocean CC (100), Suffolk CC (90), Mohawk Valley CC (80), and SUNY Delhi (70).  Fashion Institute of Technology, Howard CC, Joliet College, Queensborough CC, and Gloucester CC round out the top ten.

On the men's side the Pioneer debut in the national poll with 30 points good for the #8 ranking.  Harper College is ranked #1 followed by Howard, MVCC, Queensborough, Delhi, Ocean CC, and Gloucester.  Suffolk and Lorrain CC round out the top ten.  The Pioneers won the Alfred State Invitational this past weekend as well.

The blue & gold travel to Finger Lakes CC on Saturday for the Bruce Bridgeman Invitational.  The first race is slated for a 11 a.m. start.
